HOME BUILT BY ELI ZINK IN WISETOWN, BOND COUNTY, ILLINOIS
FAMILY LIVED THERE FROM ABOUT 1912 TO 1924
THE HOUSE WAS STILL THERE IN 2000 AND HAD BEEN REMODELED.
THE ZINK BARN
Built by Eli Zink, it was one of the largest barns in the area.
He (Eli) milked cows, picked up milk from neighbors and hauled it to a creamery in Greenville.
My mother tells about how she was afraid to go into the barn
because she thought the horses might reach out of their stalls and bite her.
The barn had been torn down when we visited in the 1960's.
